Banyumas\/Purbalingga<\/strong> The Indonesian Institute of the Arts (IKASTISI) Yogyakarta Alumni Association is ready to hold a \u201cCultural Service\u201d activity aimed at preserving and developing dance arts in the Banyumas or Purbalingga Regency area. This activity focuses on an essential topic, which is \u201cTraditional Arts as a Source of Dance Creation\u201d<\/strong>, which is also highly relevant to the needs of students in facing prestigious events like the National Student Art Competition Festival (FLS2N).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alumni Initiative for Dance Development<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This \u201cCultural Service\u201d activity plan is a real initiative and contribution from ASTI\/ISI Yogyakarta alumni who are members of IKASTISI. This program is also an official part of the organization's work program in an effort to advance regional art and culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To follow up on this plan, IKASTISI has sent a letter requesting assistance and coordination to the Head of the Cultural Office\/Head of the Cultural Affairs Division and the Chairperson of the Subject Teacher Consultation (MGMP) Dance for Banyumas\/Purbalingga Regency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schedule and Core Implementation Team<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Cultural Service activity takes place over two days, namely on 28 s.d. November 29, 2025<\/strong>. The core implementation team, consisting of competent alumni, is ready to run this program. They include: Bambang Pujasworo, Ni Nyoman Sudewi, Sigit Gunarjo, Win Pujiprianto, Riera Theotera, and Heny Winahyu. The core implementation team is currently developing detailed concepts and activity proposals to be submitted to relevant parties soon, ensuring the program runs optimally and effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Relevance to FLS2N and Participant Enthusiasm<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main focus of the activity, \u201cTraditional Arts as a Source of Dance Creation\u201d<\/strong>, becoming a very strategic topic. In the context of FLS2N, a deep understanding of the roots of traditional art is crucial for students to produce authentic, innovative, and meaningful dance works. Through this activity, participants are invited to explore local treasures and make them the main inspiration in the creative process of new dance choreography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe activities carried out by IKASTISI members in the Yogyakarta region are very beneficial. We are very happy because we gained new insights on how to make our traditional artistic heritage an inexhaustible source of ideas for dance creation,\u201d said one of the participant representatives, describing the positive impressions and benefits gained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The high enthusiasm of the participants shows that the transfer of knowledge and experience from the ASTI\/ISI Yogyakarta alumni was well-received and provided a new spirit of encouragement in artistic endeavors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expectations for Coordination and Support from Local Parties<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

IKASTISI sincerely hopes for full assistance and support from the local Culture Office and MGMP Tari (a dance teacher's subject-specific professional group). This support is crucial, especially in terms of permits, determining strategic locations, and coordinating with schools or dance communities in Banyumas\/Purbalingga to maximize the reach of this activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through synergy between art university alumni, local government, and the art education community, it is hoped that this \u201cCultural Service\u201d activity will not only become event<\/em> briefly, but also a trigger for the preservation and sustainable development of dance art in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
