On July 28, 2025, the Dance Department of ISI Yogyakarta received a visit from ten student participants Learning with Maestro (BBM) Program Kemendiktisaintek, who is currently studying directly with dance maestro Didik Nini Thowok. The BBM participants came from various regions and universities in Indonesia.
During this visit, they were invited to get to know more closely the academic atmosphere and learning activities in the Dance Department of ISI Yogyakarta. One of the sessions they participated in was a dance class. Janger Abhinaya, The work of lecturer Ni Kadek Rai Dewi Astini, M.Sn., is an explorative work based on Balinese dance traditions.
This activity is a forum for the exchange of experience and knowledge, and encourages the establishment of networks between students from various backgrounds and formal arts institutions. This visit also opens up opportunities for future collaboration in the development of performing arts education in Indonesia.
