ISI Yogyakarta's Dance Department and ISBI East Kalimantan perform a collaborative work entitled Harmony of the Archipelago in the event The 16th Council of University Presidents of Thailand (CUPT) - Conference of Rectors of Indonesian State Universities (CRISU) High Level Meeting which takes place in the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN) on August 25-26, 2025.
Works Harmony of the Archipelago choreographed by Rini Utami, M.Sn., with the assistance of Marie Muhammad, S.Sn., as well as the support of the artistic and music team, displays the cultural wealth and wisdom of the archipelago personified through natural symbols of Kalimantan such as proboscis monkeys, Mahakam porpoises, and hornbills. On the opening night, the Dance Department of ISI Yogyakarta also presented the work of Rumble of the Archipelago by Kresna Wahyu Bandiansis, M.Sn., which presents the spirit of unity from Sabang to Merauke. Meanwhile, ISBI East Kalimantan presented Colors of Borneo, It is a visual representation of the cultural diversity of the Palace, coastal Malay, and inland Dayak.
This prestigious event was also attended by the Chairman of the IKN Authority, M. Basuki Hadi Muljono, who gave his appreciation for the spirit of collaboration of art universities in strengthening the cultural identity of the archipelago in the international arena. This art and academic meeting is not only a space for exchanging ideas, but also a momentum to affirm the contribution of performing arts as an integral part in the development of IKN as the center of Indonesia's new civilization.
