The Department of Dance once again became a space for learning and sharing inspiration through a series of educational visits from various schools in early 2026. This activity is an important momentum in introducing the world of art, creativity and culture to students more closely.
At Monday, December 15, 2025, the Department of Dance welcomed a visit from Madrasah Aliyah Al Hikmah 1 Brebes This visit was filled with an introduction to the department profile, discussions about dance learning, and the opportunity to see dance student performances.
Furthermore, on Monday, January 6, 2026, the Department of Dance received another visit from SMA Unggulan PP Ammanatul Ummah Surabaya. The participants received a presentation on the curriculum, the creative process of creating dance works, as well as prospects for studies and careers in the performing arts.
Enthusiasm was also seen in Friday, January 9, 2026, when the Dance Department received a visit from SMA Negeri 1 Srono Banyuwangi and SMA Diponegoro Jember. On this occasion, the students were invited to get to know more about lectures, dance laboratory facilities, and have direct dialog with lecturers and students. “Welcome to the Dance Department and welcome to know more about dance,” became the spirit of welcome in this activity.
The visit continued on Friday, February 6, 2026, with student attendance from SMA Negeri 1 Glagah, Banyuwangi. This activity further strengthens the relationship between secondary and higher education institutions in building the younger generation's interest in arts and culture.
This series of visits is a strategic step for students to get to know the world of art, creativity and culture directly. Through interaction, discussion, and the experience of seeing the learning process in the Dance Department, it is hoped that motivation and interest will grow to continue developing potential in the field of performing arts.
