Dance Department students class of 2020 won the competition in organizing Porda XVI in 2022. Porda is an annual agenda, an acronym for Regional Sports Week organized by the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). This year, Sleman Regency is hosting one of the biggest events in DIY with the Indonesian Dance Sports Association (IODI) DIY being the organizer of the competition. The biggest sports competition in DIY was attended by contingents from 5 regencies in DIY, namely Yogyakarta City, Sleman Regency, Bantul Regency, Kulonprogo Regency, and Gunungkidul Regency.
Carrying the theme “Nyawiji Yasa Prestasi”, Porda XVI 2022 was held from September 1 to 9, 2022 which consisted of various branches of competition, including Wushu, Yongmoodo, Tarung drajat, Pencak silat, Kempo, Karate, Taekwondo, Korfball, Woodball, Rafting, Gateball, Dance, Table Tennis, Boxing, Rollerblading, Sepak takraw, Gymnastics, Diving, Rock climbing, Archery, Motorcycle, Shooting, Judo, Hockey, Wrestling, Golf, Drumband, Rowing, Chess, Bridge, Volleyball, Basketball, Billiards, Equestrian, Baseball, Bicycle Racing, Fencing, Athletics, Aerosport, Tennis, Weightlifting, Swimming, Football, and Badminton.
The competition branch followed by Dance Department students on behalf of Angela Advertia Nugroho is the Dance competition branch. The dance competition was held at Sleman City Hall on September 6, 2022. Beating several participants from other contingents, Angela managed to lift the first championship trophy in the dance competition branch of Porda DIY XVI in 2022.
