Dr. Darmawan Dadijono (dance department lecturer) became one of the dancers from Indonesia in the dance film “Mahendraparvata”. This Indonesian and Cambodian collaboration movie was produced by Borobudur Writers and Cultural Festival 2022. The four dancers involved in the movie consist of two Indonesians and two Cambodians. The closeness of the ancient civilizations of Javanese and Cambodian people is told in this film without dialogue. Darmawan and Sruti Respati, an Indonesian keroncong singer, explore Borobudur Temple. The two Cambodian dancers involved are Chamroeun Dara and Pich Reaksmey using mask props. After a successful premiere in Jakarta, Mahendraparvata will next be screened in Malang, Yogyakarta, and Jambi.
